Susan Ruth Robbins, 71, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April, 11, 2016. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at Resthaven Cemetery.
Susan was born September 1, 1944 in Des Moines, Iowa to Richard and Betty (Way) Glyde. She was a longtime resident of Des Moines and for most of her career she was a cake decorator in the area. Susan loved her family very much, especially her three grandchildren, her great grandchild, and her two dogs.
She is survived by her daughter, Tina (Nicholas) Rundlett of Waukee; son, Robert Armintrout of Colorado; adopted daughter, Lora Herweh of Des Moines, who was a roommate and longtime best friend; daughter-in-law, Melissa Woodhouse of Knoxville; grandchildren, Katie Woodhouse and Kevin Woodhouse of Knoxville, Annika Rundlett of Waukee; one great-grandchild, Marley Wilson of Knoxville; and her two dogs, Vinny and Lucie. Susan was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Animal Rescue League of Iowa.
