My sympathies to the Boots' Family:
I first met Tom in 1985. My son wanted to go on Ragbrai and the deadline for applying had passed. I called my old friend Bob Trotter and asked if he had any connections for acquiring credentials for Ragbrai. He said,"heck yes, let me get Bootie on the line." Bob talked to Tom and everythig was set. I rode Ragbrai that year and 16 consecutive years after. Got to know Tom quite well. We shared many fun times. 
I'm saddened to learn today,(9/15) of his passing and wish his family All the Best.

There's no doubt about it,Tom was a special person,who had a good effect on his friends. He would cheer you up,if you were down,and expected the best of his friends. Good by Tom!

Tom's smile was contagious, his energy and love of life limitless.  I'm so sorry to learn of his passing.  They say the most reassuring thing in the world is knowing someone cares. I had the pleasure of knowing Tom at CW. I enjoyed working with Tom and I'm sorry to hear of his passing. What a full life for this kind and generous man. My thoughts and prayers are with you and the family.

Growing up I always had to check behind doors and above them before entering a room. I never knew if I would get a bucket of water on my head or if Tom would jump out with a mask on. I will miss you big brother.

Chris and family, So sorry to hear about your loss of Tom. I am an employee who has worked here as long as Tom or longer.  He was a good guy. You have my deepest sympathy and will be on my mind.

I heard the sad news last night from a person who lived in the neighborhood when we were all growing up together.  Thanks Tom for being a very close friend to our family, and especially my brother, Roger.  We'll keep your family in our prayers.

My heart is heavier having read of Tom's passing.  I will always remember his smile and how it helped to lightened my day.  Thank you Tom.

I will always remember Tom as being the good-hearted and fun loving prankster of the family. When we were growing up, as the oldest of us five cousins, Tom was always teasing us and pulling pranks on us younger ones and on his Grandma Page.  Grandma had such a warm place in her heart for Tom as her first grandchild. To Chris, Lindsey, Travis, Eleanor, Rick, Marty and your families, my prayers are with you as your hearts heal.  My love to all of you.

My heart was saddened to learn of his passing.  He was one who knew how to enjoy life to the fullest through his love for his family, travel, and his generousity to others! His smile was a refection of the joy in his heart. I will always remember that smile and I will pray for you, Chris & for the family.

Tom was a very good friend.  He stood by me when things got tough a few years ago and helped me launch my own business.  I will always be indebted to him for this.
