Viola K. Hibbert, age 91, of Des Moines, Iowa passed away on Friday, June 30, 2023. A visitation will be held Friday, July 7, 2023 from 11 to 12 p.m. at McLaren's Resthaven Chapel followed by a funeral service at noon. Burial will take place at Resthaven Cemetery.
Viola was born February 24, 1932 to Edwin and Ruby Neiman. She loved her dog, Gretta, and very much enjoyed working at the Zoo. Viola cherished the times she and her kids had frequenting the casino to play the slots; staying at hotels and eating good food along the way were fun times.
Viola is survived by her children, Joyce Short of Pleasant Hill, Clarice Lowe Sahuarita, AZ, Ruby (Dave) Allsup of Des Moines, and David (Debbie) Hibbert of Urbandale; 9 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death her husband, Richard Hibbert, Sr., and son, Richard Hibbert, Jr.
