She was born on July 11, 1924 in Brooklyn, NY. She attended the Froebel Academy until moving to Ramsey, NJ, where she graduated from Ramsey High School, class of 1942. She raised her family, in Blauvelt, NY moving to Cape Cod in 1982. She enjoyed needlework, knitting, and the beach. She was a friend to all and to all a friend and will be solely missed.
She is survived by her three children, Gilbert McCormack Jr. of Rutland, VT, Cindy Herlihy of Mashpee, Robert McCormack of Plymouth, 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter Nancy Wood.
Her visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2014 from 2p.m. to 3p.m. in the Doane Beal Ames, 260 Main Street, Harwich, MA followed by her service in the funeral home at 3p.m. For online condolences, please visit www.nickersonfunerals.com
