Lucille Marie "Cille" Donnelly

Lucille Marie "Cille" Donnelly, 94, of West Harwich, MA died gracefully on Monday, July 3, 2017 at McCarthy Care Center in East Sandwich, MA. Born in New York City, NY to the late John T. and Agusta (Stellar) Prior, Cille was raised by her father and step-mother Virginia after the unexpected passing of her mother Agusta. At age 10 Cille moved to Manchester, CT where she graduated High School. Cille worked in insurance and with Colt Firearms during WWII. She married the late John T. Donnelly in 1945 and became a homemaker. In 1955 they moved to Enfield, CT and settled in West Harwich, MA 39 years ago.

Cille was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Church in West Harwich. She was active in her community and was a member of the Board of Directors of the Widowed Persons Service of Cape Cod based in Harwich, the Newcombers of Harwich and Chatham, the Irish-American Club of Cape Cod and was a volunteer of several years with the Family Pantry of Cape Cod in Harwich.

Cille is predeceased by her beloved husband John Taylor Donnelly (1993), brothers Edwin J. and Robert T. Prior and sister Mary E. Negri. She is survived by her loving children Linda M. Reid of Trenton, NJ; Bruce R. (Donna) Donnelly of Delaware, OH; Craig E. (Gaylene) of West Boylston, MA; Mark S. (Diane) Donnelly of Windermere, FL; her adored grandchildren Sarah, Laura, Eric, Scott, Benjamin, Kevin, Timothy & Ryan; her cherished great-grandchildren Lexi, Malcolm, Mia, Cameron, Ewan and her dear brother John T. Prior, Jr. of Ocean, NJ.

Visiting hours will take place 9-10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Doane, Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 260 Main St. (Route 28), W.Harwich, MA 02671. A Funeral Mass in her honor will follow at 11 a.m. Holy Trinity Church, 246 Main St. W.Harwich, MA with burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA.
