.WEST HARWICH - Patricia M. McDonald (Devine), 68 formerly of Dorchester and Braintree, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2011. Devoted wife of the late Paul C. McDonald, loving mother of Michael P. of W. Harwich and Thomas J. of Jacksonville, FL. Daughter of Marguerite Devine (Quinn) of Dorchester and sister of Philip Devine of Braintree and the late Robert Devine. Beloved grandmother of four, Samantha and Taylor McDonald of West Harwich, MA and Aiden and Adisen McDonald of Jacksonville, FL.

A graduate of St. Gregory’s High School Dorchester MA, class of 1960, Pat also graduated from Aquinas Jr. College. She worked at the dental office of Dr. Daniel Sweeney in Milton, as well as NFPA in Quincy. A dedicated wife and doting mother, she and Paul were married 48 wonderful years. They lived and raised their sons in Braintree MA, before retiring in West Harwich. Pat lived life to the fullest, traveling with Paul on many cruise vacations, sharing memorable moments with her grandchildren at Pleasant Street Beach, and on her son’s horse farm in Jacksonville, Florida. She leaves behind many adoring friends and family members. She was a consummate host on countless occasions on the “back deck” of their West Harwich home. She will be missed dearly for her infectious smile, impeccable taste, warm hugs and tender heart.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday June 21, 2011 at the Holy Trinity Church, W. Harwich at 10am. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours will be held on Monday at the Doane Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 260 Main St., WEST HARWICH from 4-7pm.
