

Paul L. Branzetti passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 20, 2011. He was the beloved husband of Marilyn M. (Morse) Branzetti to whom he was married for 53 years. Born in Framingham MA, Paul was raised in Wellesley MA. He was a graduate of Wellesley High School, class of 1950. Paul served in the Navy with an honorable discharge in 1956. He graduated from Babson College, class of 1958. He resided and raised a family in Needham MA for 30 years. In 1986 he retired to Harwich MA.
While his career was in advertising, Paul’s enthusiasm was found in the love of his family, his sense of humor and his music. He loved walking the beach, watching the birds and his smile would light up a room. He was a golf enthusiast, belonging to both Needham Country Club and Cranberry Valley Golf Club. As an avid outdoorsman and athlete he enjoyed skiing with Cape Cod Ski Club for years as well as a variety of other outdoor activities. Paul’s passion was music and he was an accomplished drummer and percussionist. He participated in many community performances including local theatre productions, Brewster Town Band and Lower Cape Band. Paul also enjoyed playing with the following groups; Ken Badger Trio, Christa Dulude Trio, Lou Colombo & the Dreamers and the Silver Foxes.
He was an active member of the First Congregational Church of Harwich, where he served as a Deacon, on the Board of Trustees and as a member of the choir.
Paul is survived by Marilyn and his three children, Linda Branzetti of Arlington MA, Eric Branzetti and his wife Jo-Ann of Sandwich MA and their three children Kristen, Matthew and Daniel, and Greg Branzetti of Palm Springs CA.
Visiting hours will be Thursday, March 24, 2011 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Doane, Beal and Ames Funeral Home, 260 Main Street Harwich, MA. A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 25, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at The First Congregational Church of Harwich, 697 Main Street Harwich, MA. Following this service there will be a reception at Jake Rooney’s at 119 Brook’s Road in Harwichport, MA.
