George A. Whitman, 92, of West Islip, Long Island, New York on Friday, December 8, 2017. He was a Proud U.S. Army WWII Veteran. Beloved husband of the late Catherine. Loving father of Diane Lleras (Jose), Kevin Whitman (Laura). Cherished "Papa ~ Gramps" of Brian, Jennifer, Kevin, Carolyn, Kenneth, Jason, Joseph and Jonathan. Caring "Papa ~ Gramps" of Derrick, Kade, Connor and Raymond. Dear brother of Raymond, Dolores and the late Warren. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
