Laura Buccellato Galofaro

Laura Buccellato Galofaro, 97 of West Islip, peacefully passed away in the comfort of her home on October 7th, 2017. Born in Castellammare Del Golfo, a town in the Trapani Province of Sicily is where she fell in love and married her late husband Camillo in 1948. Together they brought their family to the United States in 1966, first settling in Brooklyn and later relocating to West Islip. Laura leaves behind her loving children Vito Galofaro and Toni Galofaro Small. Her adoring grand-daughters Kelly Small and Laurie Small (Jonathan) Grusky. Laura will be remembered by ones who knew and loved her so by her cooking, talented sewing and her artistic ability of drawing and painting.

Friends and Family may gather at Claude R. Boyd-Spencer Funeral Home at 255 Higbie Lane, West Islip, NY, 11795 to pay their respects.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 10th, 2017 from 2-4:00PM and 7-9:00PM

Funeral service will take place at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in West Islip at 9:30AM and to follow is the Entombment at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Farmingdale.
