Ariel Henriette Lawrence

Ariel Lawrence affectionately known by her friends and relatives as “Acau” was born in La Plaine, Dominica to Matilda Eugene and Apps Augustine La Ronde on November 15, 1934. She was the first of three daughters and one son. She was preceded by her brother, Reynolds Pascal. She is survived by her sisters; Francisca Cassell, Cisareana Stephens and Esther La Ronde.

Ariel dated and married her long-time husband Ernest Lawrence who preceded her in death. She had ten wonderful children: Janny, Vincia, Sandra, Mavis, Phillip, Michael, Joseph, Clifton, James, and Lewis who preceded her in death. She was a loving grandmother to forty-eight grandchildren and thirty-six great grandchildren.

Ariel grew up to be a beautiful, hardworking, church going and respected woman who loved to take care of her family and to sing in the choir. Although she had ten kids, she made time to sing in every funeral and in church services.

Ariel had a great sense of humor and no matter how down or upset you were, she would make you laugh because her laugh was infectious.

In 1980, Ariel migrated to St. Thomas, USVI with her family and there her life thoroughly changed for the best. She worked many places including the Marriott hotel for many years until she retired. After retirement she moved to be close to her children in Florida.

In the Bible, it speaks of a virtuous woman and Ariel was one virtuous woman who instilled dignity and morals in her children, grand and great grandchildren. She was god-fearing and strong in faith and always had good advice. She was patient, caring, understanding, kind-hearted, and quiet.

Unfortunately, Ariel became sick and succumbed to illness. She will be truly missed by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, relatives, and friends.

Ariel is survived by her family and friends and will surely be missed by all.

Mama, your love, gentle smile, and laughter will be missed. Mama, rest in peace with Daddy and Teson in the bosom of God’s love.

A visitation for Ariel will be held Tuesday, August 31, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Royal Palm Funeral Home, 5601 GREENWOOD AVE, WEST PALM BEACH, FL 33407. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, August 31, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 5601 GREENWOOD AVE, WEST PALM BEACH, FL 33407. A committal service will occur Tuesday, August 31, 2021 from 1:15 PM to 1:30 PM at Royal Palm Memorial Gardens, 5601 GREENWOOD AVE, WEST PALM BEACH, FL 33407.
