Bernice Victoria Jackson was born on November 19th, 1935, in Kingston, Jamaica to Claudius and Laletta Markland.
She migrated to New York in 1970 where she worked at Astor Gardens Nursing Home in the Bronx as a nursing assistant until she retired and relocated to Florida.
Bernice loved the Lord deeply and was a longtime member of Acts 2 Worship Center before moving to Faith Coast Church so she could worship with her daughters and grandchildren. Her love and passion for God were evident in the way she went about her life. She was an avid Bible reader and found refuge in the word of God, which she shared with her family.
Bernice was a faithful mother, grandmother and friend who left a legacy of love, kindness and friendship that will forever inspire us. She touched many lives with her generosity, warmth and honest feedback. Her presence brought joy and comfort to everyone who knew her. Bernice loved a good laugh and always had a story to tell of her life’s journey.
Highlights of Bernice life were her singing for the Queen while attending Catholic School in Kingston, Jamaica and spending time with her children,grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Nephew - Peter Markland. Daughter in law- Cion Jackson, Grand Daughters -in-law - Emma Hurbs, Evelyn Roper.
