Blanche Herman

Mrs. Blanche Herman, 91 of Jensen Beach, Florida passed away on March 30, 2013 in Hobe Sound, Florida. She is survived by her loving children Marlynn (Chuck) Cohen and Matthew (Terry) Herman; cherished grandchildren Leni, Deanna, Andra, Brett (Paul) and Neil; adored great grandchildren Jessie, Max, Talia, Jacob, Mason and Sabine; sister of Will (Alana) Green and Adele Knutsen.

She started painting at the age of 50 at the Rosyln School of Painting and continued when she moved to Jensen Beach in 1987. In her 40 years of painting, she created almost 200 original oils, which line the walls of both her home and the homes of her family. She spent many years volunteering in the art community in Stuart. She also spent 20 years enjoying being a Red Hat in the Jensen Beach community.

Except for the loss of her husband, King, in 1987, her life was a happy one filled with life and activity. She was always surrounded by friends wherever she lived. She never felt old and kept up an active life right up until a few months before her passing.
