

Helen Frances Adler, 90 years old, died on Wednesday, April 1, 2026. Helen was born in Spring Valley, New York on May 3, 1935. After graduating high school, Helen attended a business college and started working as a stenographer at Rockland State Hospital. At the age of 22, she married George Thomas Adler, Jr. and moved to West Palm Beach, FL. Together they raised five children. Helen was a long time member of St. Juliana Catholic Church. She was also an active member of St. Juliana’s Council of Catholic Women. Helen and George worked together in the family catering business, George Adler Catering Service until the death of George in 2008. In her free time, Helen enjoyed cooking, baking, traveling, gardening, embroidery, sewing, eating and spending time with her family and friends.
Helen and her twin sister, Rose joined 4-H when they were 10 years old. Helen continued with 4-H by becoming a leader after she graduated high school. After moving to Florida, she started a 4-H club in 1961 with the neighborhood children. All of her children and grandchildren were in her club. In 2002, Helen was inducted into the Florida 4-H Hall of Fame as the first class of inductees. She continued her club, the Helpful Hearts, until 2022. During those 61 years, Helen taught thousands of children how to sew, cook, garden, woodworking, flower arranging and many more life skills. For many, she was their surrogate mom.
She was the most loving, caring, selfless sister, wife, mother, Oma, mother-in-law, and friend.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, George T. Adler, Jr and her brother, Frank Nenninger. She is survived by three sons, Tom Adler (wife, Judy) of Okeechobee, FL, Richard Adler(wife, Angie) of West Palm Beach, FL, and Adam Adler (wife, Cecelia) of Loxahatchee, FL; two daughters Gail Ciotti (husband, Chris) of Palm Beach Gardens, FL and Rosemarie Oschmann (husband, Ed) of Lake Worth Beach, FL; ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. She is survived by her twin sister, Rose Perantoni of Rockledge, FL
The family requests that if you would like to show your support of Helen’s love and involvement in 4-H, please wear green. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Palm Beach County 4-H Youth Fund, 559 N Military Trail, West Palm Beach, FL 33415.
Visitation will be held at Quattlebaum Funeral, Cremation, and Event Center, 6411 Parker Ave, West Palm Beach, FL 33405, US, on April 9, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St Juliana Catholic Church, 4500 S Dixie Hwy, West Palm Beach, FL 33405, US, on April 10, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Committal will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 6411 Parker Ave, West Palm Beach, FL 33405, US, on April 10, 2026, from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm.
