

Jack Hayden Creese began his earthly journey on April 10, 1927 in Stamford, Connecticut to his expecting parents, Mr. Forrest Creese and Mrs. Myrtle (nee Swallow) Creese. Jack moved to the South Florida area in the post war era of the Korean Conflict after being stationed at one of the military bases, where he met his beloved bride, Joan E. Creese. During the Korean Conflict, Jack served his country as a Sergeant in the United States Army serving two tours of duty until being discharged on September 9, 1954. Jack then reenlisted as a Staff Sergeant on February 3, 1955 in the United States Air Force and served his country meritoriously until his discharge on September 28, 1962 as a Master Sergeant with a distinguished record including; the recognition of a Purple Heart, the WW II Victory Medal, the Korean Conflict Victory Medal, the Presidential Unit Citation, an Occupational Medal (Germany), and a National Defense Service Medal. Jack later moved to the Tampa area after his release from the US Air Force and in later years moved to the San Francisco, California area to begin his closing career as a Sergeant for six years with the Eddy Street Corp. of the Salvation Army. Thirteen years ago he moved from California to reclaim his home in the West Palm Beach area. During the 1950's Jack and his wife, Joan worked with the Norton Playhouse appearing in several stage works; he had a fond love for Broadway Musicals and the Theatre. Jack also enjoyed traveling abroad and at home in the United States with his wife, Joan. During the last years of Jack's life he became more sedentary and enjoyed a quiet solitary life at his home in Century Village. On August 29, 2012 the Salvation Army of Jesus Christ called Jack to his new home to join the choirs of Angels in Heaven. He will forever be remembered for his big smile, charming wit, caring personality and cheerful way. He never met a stranger and helped out more than he could choose. He will leave behind to forever cherish his memories a loving and devoted daughter, Carol C. Howell and her husband, Craig of Lake Worth, Florida; his two adored granddaughters, Meghan Cain and her husband, Michael of West Palm Beach, Florida and Samantha Howell of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The family will have a Veterans Service on the Grounds of the South Florida VA National Cemetery, 6501 State Road 7, Lake Worth, FL 33449 with the United States Air Force presenting Military Honors at a later date.
