

Dr. Joseph Nelson Belluccio passed away April 28, 2016. Born in Tampa, Florida in 1932, he spent his entire childhood and early adulthood in the Tampa Bay area where he became well known for his skill as an accordion player as he worked his way through College at the University of Tampa. After receiving his undergraduate degree, he taught school in the Tampa area until moving to Palm Beach County in 1966 where he worked in the Palm Beach County School System in the capacity of teacher, counselor, principal, and assistant area administrator until retiring in 1982. He was also elected and served on the Palm Beach County School Board from 1984 thru 1988. He later worked for the State of Florida Department of Labor until his retirement. His post graduate education included a Masters Degree from the University of Florida, and a PHD from Nova Southwestern University. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 42 years (Ruby Lane). Joe is survived by his son Allen, (Becky), and his two grandchildren, AJ, and Alyssa.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Celebration of Life Gathering which will be held at Quattlebaum Funeral Home at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 6411 Parker Avenue, West Palm Beach on Thursday, May 12th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. His Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, May 15th at 2:00 p.m., at the Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4207 East Lake Avenue, Tampa, Florida 33610. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
