Luis, or in my case, dad, 

I think about you every waking moment, and yet, the truth that you have passed, is still unfathomable. I am reminded of you in everything i do. You were the father i could of only hoped for. You made me feel safe, you made me laugh and smile, but most of all you made me proud to be your daughter, and i am still proud to be your daughter. You were an incredible musician, i have memories as a little girl of you playing at school assemblies, concerts in parks, and at festivals. These moments in time will always be remembered, and even as i grew older i still had memories of you playing. The house would be filled with the vibrations and noise coming from your drum-set and CD player, you would even play along side me on the piano. In the car, when music would come on, you would always know the artist. You said and i quote " I have a library of music in my head", and you did. You held everything so dear to you, and you saw everything in something. There was still so much to be learned from you, about your past, and how you became the person you were. You have so many great friends, that can easily fill in the blanks for me, and one day i hope they will. You taught me so much and even the little things made such a difference. I miss you dad, i really miss you. I will make you proud of me, because i wish for you to be smiling when you are looking down from the heavens. These are only my feelings at the moment, but words could never describe how great of a father you were. Its the feeling in my heart that is the only keeper of that. I love you, and i know you loved me, and our family and music and your friends and your family. You had such a big heart!!! so big, that i still feel your love even if it has stopped beating. Here is a poem that i wrote for you today.

I breathe you in with the morning air
Fill my lunges of you and hold it there
Only do i breathe you out
to breath you in again
I feel you in the warmth of the sun
Your arms wrapped around me
As the heat comes undone
And When the rainfall hits my window side
i know that i'll be fine
because everything goes away
the rain, this day, and someday the pain
but i will still breath you in with the morning air

Mis más sentidas condolencias para su familia. Siempre pensé en él desde su partida... Por las fotografías se ve que fue feliz. Tuvo una familia que lo amaba y estaba con él en sus penas y alegrías. Una cosa echaré de menos, no haberle podido dar un gran abrazo y decirle hasta pronto. estoy cierto que su don de gentes, su arte y su buen hacer lo acompañará has en el más allá. Sweet Beth, Arlette, Danny and Lucy, I'm so sorry about the shock of Luis' passing.  I know it seems so abrupt but I'm so glad that you got to spend the time together to celebrate Danny's graduation.
