Lydia Peyton led a remarkable life. She found joy in her grandchildren; teaching them to play golf, play cards, drive and being there to cheer them on in tumbling, baseball, and band. Always first in the school pick-up line and eager to take them out to eat. Her favorite holiday was Easter and she enjoyed coloring eggs.
She had a passion for golf and found joy, friendship, and love on the green. She was a fierce competitor and held the Hole In One and Top Golfer titles more than once. She enjoyed playing golf with her sons and then her grandsons (and she won most of the time). She also had a green thumb and loved flowers and plants so much that she opened her own nursery on Military Trail.
She is survived by her older brother, Floyd Moore, her son William Peyton (Margie), her grandchildren and those that called her Pee-Pie, Stephanie Taylor (Rod), James Peyton (Kelly), Jonathan Peyton (Lindsay), Ashley Peyton, Anthony Perez (Mimi), her great grandchildren Samantha, Allyson, Jack, Waylon, and Layla Peyton, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her son Robert Steven Peyton and several sisters and brothers.
A graveside prayer and service will be held on Wednesday April 17th, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Quattlebaum Funeral Center located at 6411 Parker Avenue West Palm Beach, FL.
May her soul rest in peace and may her memories bring joy and comfort.
