

Maria De los Angeles Prada age 95 of West Palm Beach, Florida was taken by the hand and led to the Gates of Heaven on March 27, 2014 by her late husband, Fernando Prada, Sr., who has been waiting for her arrival since his passing in 1997. Maria was born on December 2, 1918 in Veguitas, Orientes, Cuba to her eagerly awaiting parents, the late Mr. Juan Diego and the late Mrs. Maria Guerra. In 1991, Maria and her husband moved to the United States of America to begin a new life as Naturalized United States Citizens. Maria was a very strong willed woman and maintained the Matriarchal role in her family; keeping the family organized, taking care of her children and spouse by cooking, cleaning and maintaining her wifely duties. She attended church at St. Juliana Catholic Church with her husband and family. Maria enjoyed crocheting, creating some of the most beautifully crafted quilts and blankets for her family and friends and cooking some of the most scrumptious meals to feed her family. She is survived by her loved son, Fernando Prada, Jr. and his wife, Zaida of West Palm Beach, Florida; her three adored grandchildren, Zaidee Arroyo of West Palm Beach, Florida, Liliana Jimenez and her husband, Alexis of West Palm Beach, Florida and Fernando Prada, III and his wife, Rebecca of West Palm Beach, Florida; and her seven precious great grandchildren, Gerald Arroyo, Josseline Arroyo, Stephanie Jimenez, Elissa Jimenez, Elena Jimenez, Elena Prada, Maia Prada and Fernando J. Prada, IV all of West Palm Beach, Florida. Family and friends will visit and pay respects from 6:00 PM - 10:00 PM, Sunday, March 30, 2014 at Quattlebaum Funeral, Cremation and Event Center at Hillcrest, 6411 Parker Avenue, West Palm Beach, Florida 33405 with a Scripture Service taking place at 7:00 PM on Sunday night. A Celebration of Life Service for Mara De los Angeles Prada will be held 10:00 AM, Monday, March 31, 2014 at Quattlebaum Funeral, Cremation and Event Center, 6411 Parker Avenue, West Palm Beach, Florida 33405, (561) 833-4061 with Father Jose Crucet the Celebrant.
