My condolences to the Leiva Family.  I remember when I was little (me and my sister) Mercy use to take us to Mcdonald's and the park down the street, when we lived in Chicago. I deeply saddened haven't talked to the family in over 20 years.

When I think of Mercy, I think of a bubbly, always happy, always smiling kind and loving soul.  She was the kind of person you wanted to hang around with and if you did, you knew there would be a lot of laughs.  She was there when you needed her. I will always be grateful that she was part of my life and cherish the memories. Dear Mercy, you left us too soon, so unexpectedly. You will be missed so much and you will forever live in my heart. 💕 Your cousin Pila ♥️

I have many happy  memories with my Prima Mercy. We  were always up to some shenanigans as kids. We went to the same schools, we did our communion together, and learned how to roller skate together. We would go roller skating to a place called  Rainbow.  We could talk for hours and laugh about silly things.  She had my back no matter what, but also would let me know when I was wrong. She had a special way to make people feel important and loved. May you rest in piece, forever in my heart ♥️

Most of my memories with Mercy are from my youth. The one I remember most vividly is when Rosy and I went to West Palm Beach one summer many years ago. Mercy showed us around but also took us to Daytona Beach. I remember riding in a fast boat and driving in an even faster car! She made sure we had fun and that it was memorable which it definitely was! I also have many memories of family parties with her. She was always cool with me. My father loved her and her family very much. I am certain that he was one of the first to welcome her in heaven.  💜
