Born on September 2, 1936, in West Palm Beach, Florida, Patrick graduated from St. Ann’s High School (Class of 1954) and proudly served in the United States Air Force. After his service Patrick went to work for Pratt-Whitney for over 30 years. He lived a life full of love, strength, and dedication to those around him. He was known for his kindness, faithfulness, and sense of humor. He left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He is survived by his daughters, Eileen Penque (Robert Ojeda), Suzanne Stewart, and Kathleen Hanbury; his brother, Terence J. Hanbury (Barbara); his cherished grandchildren, Eric Ballard (Summer), Kristen Boyd (Ryan), Louis “Mikey” Penque Jr. (Alyssa), and Ashley Hoffman (Michael); and his beloved great-grandchildren, Cameron Ballard, Ellie Ballard, Harper Boyd, and Kinzley Boyd, who brought him endless pride and joy. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margaret “Peggy” Hanbury.
In retirement, Patrick enjoyed volunteering his time at the Palm Beach County Clerk & Comptroller’s Office. He was devoted to his church, St. Juliana Catholic Church, and was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus. He was also a Miami Dolphins fan and was a longtime season ticket holder. He found his greatest happiness in being with his family and cherished summers spent fishing in the Florida Keys. His legacy is one of love, laughter, and unwavering support.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Juliana Catholic Church on Friday, March 27, at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Trustbridge Hospice or a charity of your choice in his memory.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered in the hearts of those who loved him.
