Pearl was born on October 16, 1943 in Unicoi, Tennessee, the daughter of David Austin Hicks and Virgie J. Hicks. She was married to Elbert N. Honeycutt (Pee Wee) for 56 wonderful years. She retired from Bell South as a service representative after 30 years.
She did not fear death but was reluctant to leave her husband, beloved daughter and son in law, and grandchildren. She leaves a legacy of grace, style, family, and unconditional love. She loved spending time in Florida and the mountains of East Tennessee. Her favorite memories include the theatre, church, travel and dinner with her car club friends. As reflected throughout her life, she was a lover of everything beautiful. She was an excellent cook and showed her love for her family and friends through her delicious cooking and baking. She was a true servant of God and a member of South Palm Community Church, Boynton Beach, Florida and Unicoi United Methodist Church in Unicoi, Tennessee.
She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Jack Hicks and David Hicks, and a sister, Alice Hicks. She is survived by her husband, Elbert N. Honeycutt, her daughter and husband, Crystal and Kyle Molloy, and three grandsons, Austin Molloy, Taylor Molloy, and Cayden Molloy; a sister and spouse, Ruby & Foya McLaughlin; two brothers and spouses, Jay and Debbie Hicks and Robert and Penny Hicks; a sister in law, Elizabeth Carver; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will be having a celebration of Pearl’s life on Saturday, March 3, 2018 from 4:00-8:00 pm at her daughter’s home, 5467 1st Road, Lake Worth, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, and in true “Pearl style” we would like for you to perform a random act of kindness in Pearl’s memory.
