Ralph Parks

Ralph Parks age 98 of Riviera Beach, Florida passed away peacefully on June 2, 2013 and was led to Gates of Heaven by his beloved wife, Elsie Parks and his three beloved daughters, Valerie, Darthenia and Renita Parks. Ralph was born on February 17, 1915 in Greenville, Georgia to his late parents, Mr. Seymour Parks and Mrs. Mary Parks. After completing a tour of duty in the US Army during WWII, Ralph moved to the South Florida area in 1948 to make his home in Riviera Beach, Florida. Ralph was a kind, giving and selfless man; he always took care of his family; and at times could be a jokester, but for the most part was a serious person. Ralph was an avid fisherman, and he also liked to cook and grill some good old fashioned dishes. He will be forever remembered by his seven loving children, Leonard Parks and his wife, Sarah of LaGrange, Georgia, Donnell Parks of Port St. Lucie, Florida, Vivian Holmes and her husband, Leon of Orlando, Florida, Theresa Parks of Orlando, Florida, Terry Parks of Riviera Beach, Florida, Elvira Parks of Riviera Beach, Florida, and Lorraine Parks of Riviera Beach, Florida; sixteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter also survive Ralph. Friends and family will gather at the Pleasant Heights Missionary Baptist Church, 1297 34th Street, Riviera Beach, Florida 33404, (561) 848-2275 from 10:00AM - 12:00PM on June 15, 2013. A Homecoming Service will be held at 12:00PM on June 15, 2013 in the Pleasant Heights Missionary Baptist Church, 1297 34th Street, Riviera Beach, Florida 33404, (561) 848-2275. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park, 6411 Parker Avenue, West Palm Beach, Florida 33405, (561) 582-4131.
