Dear Lisa and family,

I have been to a lot of funerals and memorials in my life… But the one for Ramon was a true testament to who he was as a human being and how he was raised. Though I did not know him, only having met him one time… I could feel the love that he shared with his friends and the impact that he made in their lives.

My deepest condolences to Lisa, his family and his friends. May his memory forever be a blessing.

Lisa, my condolences and prayers are with you and your family. May Ramon rest in eternal peace.

I heard of this tragedy a couple days ago, and I still feel like I’m in shock. I’d like to offer my deepest condolences to his family, who unfortunately I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting. He often told me stories of how strong and loving you are, he had the deepest admiration and respect for you. Ramon was the truest soul I ever came to know. I knew Ramon as a coworker for a short time, and a beloved friend ever since. I looked forward to seeing him at work every day and dancing around the kitchen with him as we worked. He was the type of person who always went out of his way to walk me home and make sure I was safe. The type who still checked in on me all the time, and just reached out after the hurricane. I knew him as a man who emanated love, spirit, support, and creativity to strangers and loved ones alike. He was so selfless and understanding, and he saved my own life more than once. I can't put into words how much he meant to me. He touched my life in such a profound way and taught me so many lessons, and I will try every day to share the light that he gave to me. I feel so blessed that I was lucky enough to have this angel touch my life. The world will be a little darker without him. He was a true soldier of God and he will not be forgotten.

Although, I only new Ramon for about a year I did notice a calm and caring young man.   As time passed and having further conversations with him I started to learn just how special he was and I notice all the love he had for his family.  He will be missed by his family and his vast amount of friends 

Time to rest Ramon. You will be miss but not forgotten

I didn't know Ramon, but I know how strong is the love of a mother. This moment is not easy and it will never be, but one thing that I can speak for is that it will be eternal inside of you. All the good moments, how happy memories and all love in the world.

I am truly sorry for everyone’s loss. I did not know Ramon as closely as some of you, but I did remember him. I remember him always smiling and I remember him breakdancing in the spill out at Krio. He was a genuine soul and he will be forever remembered and missed. May you find your peace Ramon. We know that though you may no longer be walking with us in flesh, you will always be with us in spirit. Till we all meet again. Rest. And thank you for honoring us with your light.
