

Richard (Dick) M. Laub, born in Troy, New York on August 26, 1919, passed away on April 27, 2012. He graduated from Simon Gratz High School in Philadelphia in 1937. He received a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business in 1941. He then completed a post graduate degree in Production Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Laub co-founded EFE Labs, with his friend, Norman Caplan. Mr. Laub retired to West Palm Beach, Florida in 1997. He was on the Board of the World Affairs Council of Philadelphia and an active member of the Forum Club of the Palm Beaches. He also served for several years as a Guardian Ad Litem for the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit of Palm Beach County, Florida. Mr. Laub was a life-time reader and world traveler. Most of all, Mr. Laub cherished his family. He had four children; his sons Richard Michael Laub, Jr., and John Frederick Laub, who predeceased him, and his daughters Kathleen J. Laub, of Boca Raton, Florida and Patricia Laub Tieger (husband Bernard), of Tivoli, New York. He is also survived by his four grandchildren Lindsey, Allison, Peter, and Toby, and seven great-grandchildren.
