Ruth T Ward

RUTH T. WARD Age 93, of Miramar, FL passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2012. She was born January 28, 1919 in Gainesville, FL to William and Laura Tillman. She graduated from Apex College in Georgia where she studied Cosmetology. In pursuit of a Cosmetology career she relocated to New York where she met her husband of over 50 years, Christopher P. Ward, Sr. She was an active member of Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church for many years and served on the Usher Board until her health failed her. She is survived by two sons, Christopher (Victoria) Holts Summit, Missouri and Thomas (Marquita) Miramar, FL; three brothers, Preston Tillman, Florida, Reuben Tillman, Tennessee and Carl Tillman, Washington, DC; one sister, Catherine Wright, New York; three sisters-in-law; seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A viewing will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, August 3, 2012 at Shuler's Memorial Chapel, 5301 N. Australian Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2012, 11:00 AM at Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, 801 8th Street, West Palm Beach, FL.
