Susan lived a life with adventurous experiences, relationships, and creativity. Over the years, she called many places home, including Silver Spring, Avignon, Caracas, and West Palm Beach. Each place reflected a meaningful chapter of her life and adventurous spirit.
As a young woman, Susan worked alongside her father supporting the family’s restaurant business in Georgetown. She later co-ran an art gallery with her father in both Avignon and Boca Raton, blending her appreciation for beauty, culture, and connection with others. In later years, she dedicated herself to healthcare administration, working across healthcare systems and private practices in a variety of specialties.
Susan had a special love for animals, cherished meaningful conversations with family and friends, and found happiness in the simple moments spent together. She also held a deep connection to St. Augustine, a place that carried treasured memories and special meaning for both her and her daughter.
Those who knew Susan will remember her elegance, resilience, and gentle sense of humor. Her memory will continue to live on in the stories shared around family tables, in the laughter of her grandchildren, and in the hearts of all who loved her.
Susan is survived by her beloved daughter, Christina Cannon; her son-in-law, Scott Cannon; and her treasured grandchildren, Savannah and Stevie Cannon, who brought immeasurable joy and light into her life. Becoming a grandmother was one of Susan’s greatest joys, and nothing made her happier than seeing her grandchildren smile, laugh, and feel loved.
A memorial service celebrating Susan’s life will be held on May 8th at 10:00 AM EST at St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church, within the chapel, located at 9999 N Military Trail, PGA.
A post-service reception will follow at Quattlebaum Funeral, Cremation and Event Center, 5411 Okeechobee Blvd., West Palm Beach.
Susan will be deeply missed and forever loved.
