Dear Gina and family, Mara and Ron; We are so sorry that we have not yet seen you since the passing of your beautiful, Fil - wife, mother, and grandmother. I just read my alumni magazine from U of A and found out Fil has died.  Although I have not seen you two for many years I thought about you often. I have been in transition, relocating from BC to California, and only just learned of Fil's passing from a post Ron made to LinkedIn.  As a former colleague of Fil's, I was deeply saddened to hear this news. My heart goes out to her family.  My time at Canuck Place taught me to 'embrace life' and this is something Fil did each and every say.  She will be missed by many who's lives she touched, me included.

Ron, Gina and Mara, we are all so sorry for your loss. We understand and also feel the loss of our beloved "Golf Partner" for many years in the Ladies Media Golf Classic. What fun we used to have and Fil was always a joy to spend the day with. I first met Fil through Canuck Place and was delighted when we became friends outside of Canuck Place. Dear Ron,Gina and Mara. I met Fil when I was a nursing student at the Royal Alexander Hospital in Edmonton. I remember her lovely smile and gentle ways and I believe she was the best nursing instructor I ever had. Sorry to hear of her passing. I will always remember her. My condolences to you all.

Dear Ron, Gina, Mara:  our deepest sympathies to all of you.  LOVE, HAPPINESS, FRIENDSHIP, are only a few words to describe Fil.  I will cherish my memories with her forever. My heart sank with a deep sadness upon hearing of Filomena's death. I am so sorry to you all for your loss. I knew Fil through the business community, and later as friends. She was there for me when my husband died of cancer 7 years ago. This dreadful disease breaks so many hearts. She was a wonderful lady in so many ways.
