
CORNISH, Freeman Francis (Bob), born in Vancouver, Aug 16, 1913, passed away peacefully at his home, June 2, 2011. He is deeply loved and missed by his wife, Anna Margaret (nee MacDonald). They met in Nova Scotia during the war years when Bob was serving the RCAF. Concluding his service in 1945, Bob and Anna were married and moved to North Vancouver, where they resided to date. Bob was employed as a mechanic at Sterling Ship yards and subsequently with Northland Navigation, retiring in 1978. His passion was his home, garden, handiwork and flowers. He and Anna enjoyed travelling with trips to the UK, Hawaii and numerous cruises. He and Anna formed an outstanding neighbourhood bond through their many years of residency on 222nd Street. Bob was an active member of the Odd Fellows Lodge also of the St. Johns’ Anglican Church for approx. 80 years. He is sadly missed by relatives, numerous friends and Neighbours. Funeral Services to be held at St. John’s Anglican Church 220 West 8th Street, North Vancouver, B.C. at 1:30pm on June 10th, 2011. In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to “Talking Books” Interlink taped books at North Vancouver district library or a charity of your choice.
