

Jim was born March 12, 1948 at St Boniface, Manitoba. He lived in Winnipeg, Manitoba during his formative years till settled in Vancouver in 1970. He was employed by ICBC where specialized in photography and video creation. Survivors include his wife Sharen; his son Lucas; brother Wayne Brown of Nova Scotia; sister Lynn Baupit of Vancouver; Uncle Alex Brown and Ken Brown of Calgary and he was predeceased by his father William Brown; Mother Viola Cora and older sister Claudette.
Jim had an endearing personality along with his infectious laugh. He always saw the best in all things especially the people he met.
His biggest love of his life besides his wife and son was his music. Jim was a drummer by night and a “Trekie” by day. He loved spending many hours with his son Lucas exploring the fantasy world of Star Trek including all the characters, figurines, DVDs and the like. For those wishing to pay there respect’s visitation will be held at Hollyburn Funeral Home 1807 Marine Drive, West Vancouver, BC on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 from 1:00pm-2:00pm, with funeral service to follow.
Above all Jim was a loving father and devoted husband. He was dearly cherished and he will be missed by all who knew him especially family, musicians and his friends and colleagues at ICBC.
