On April 30, 2026, on a warm spring day, just before noon, Louise Ann Nagle left this world. She passed in her beloved home in the Highlands of North Vancouver supported by family, friends, neighbours and her much adored little dog Sadie who was Louise’s companion of 10 years.
Louise courageously fought her recent diagnosis of cancer with strength and grace. We thank all the caring angels of Lions Gate Hospital, her home Companion and family members who cared for Louise and supported her during her passing.
Louise was born on August 20, 1943, and spent her 82 years creating a life filled with friendships, outstanding business careers, volunteer community service work for the welfare of animals and community planning with the District of North Vancouver - Capilano. As a young woman, Louise gained a scholarship to train with the Canadian National Ballet in Toronto. She felt truly blessed!
Louise was the beloved daughter of Paul and Emma Franceschini (predeceased) whose family was part of the original Italian families that made North Vancouver their home in the 1940's. She had a rich and proud Italian heritage.
Many family and friends will be left behind missing Louise. We know she has been received on the other side of her worldly journey by her husband Baz Nagel, cousin and dear friend Tom Bandeira, her dearly beloved parents Paul and Emma Franceschini and her many animal companions.
Heaven for Louise was beautiful walks with her rescue dogs, strolling along the rivers amongst forest trails of her treasured North Shore parklands. We believe Louise is there now walking with her much adored pet Sophie by her side.
A celebration of Louise’s life will be held 11:45 on May 20 at Hollyburn Funeral Home with a reception to follow at the Beach House Restaurant 1:00 -3:00
