For some strange reason Mardon's name came to me this evening, looked up his name and read the obituary.  I also worked with Mardon at MacMillan Bloedel Research, along with Terri Bergsma and many, many others.

Mardon was always good for a giggle, at anyone's expense.  I shall remember him and now I know where he resides.  Stay safe Mardon.

I just learned today of Mardon's passing and I am shocked and terribly sad.  I remember well the first time we met, way back in 1987, he walked into my office with a big smile on his face and from that point forward, through all our years working together that smile was always there.  I have many happy memories of Mardon - a person full of brightness and laughter.  To all his family, I am so very sorry for your loss.

Cathy, We only spent a fantastic two weeks on safari with you and Mardon but  the memory lives on, I still have "The Crocs got it" apron. Our thoughts and best wishes for you, Cathy and your family.

Very few people have that natural, easy going, fun loving, let's embrace life personality. And you had it Mardon - ten fold. Both Sheila and I think back with fond memories to the  times we were all able to get together with the Luchene's - those of us who have known you are that much richer in our own lives, graeme + sheila, xo

Mardon was a great guy.  You and Mardon were a great team.  My thoughts are with you and your family

One day, '58,'59, a new family moved in next door.  The fun began.  Summer theatre, sugar sandwiches, and many other adventures while the parents were away working.  Then we rebuilt the wood frame of the Morgan.  Mardon was a great creative force and an influential  role model to a younger boy.  I will always remember him as a friend from our youth.  Sorry we never kept in touch.

My heart is broken... He touched many lives in many ways and will be treasured forever by all.  My life was enriched knowing this amazing man and I am grateful.  Love you and miss you, my friend.

Your send off was everything you would of wanted. Lot's of Mardon stories and laughter talking of all the good times. I feel lucky to be able to have called you family and friend for all these years. You will always be  six feet tall to me. Laura and Bill

I am so very, very sorry to learn of Mardon's passing. I grew up with Mardon on Afton Drive in Richmond and always treasured him as a dear friend. We had many good times together and both my wife Arlene and I will miss him very much. One of his paintings still hangs in our family den -- and it always will, Our deepest sympathies to Cathy and family.

Our paths may have seldom crossed, the occasional Canucks game, the crazy Mardon "All Nighters" in the studio, but my thoughts are with you now during a difficult time. I'm so grateful to have known Mardon and have many wonderful stories to prove it!

It's hard to grasp..... just the thought that you have left us. Mardon you were a very special friend for all those wonderful and crazy years. You will always remain in our hearts forever. You were truly one of a kind.

Mardon was a very close friend for over 25 years and considered part of the family. Mardon loved life and was one of a kind, talented, outgoing, fun, friendly, thoughtful and made a positive impact on all he met in business or socially. He was such a great guy!

I am heartbroken, but know that you will be looking down on us with that cheeky grin. It was an honour to work with you for 20 years.  You will be missed by many. So sorry I won't be able to come to your party on Monday.

We were so saddened to hear about Mardon's passing. He became a favorite person to visit with at the Leith's Christmas and pizza parties. He always had a smile and a laugh that brightened up the room. Rest in peace Mardon and our thoughts & prayers are with the family.

Yup, Mardon's image will be in my mind for some time: the little red car, the cigarette... and the laugh. Always fun to work with. And now probably asking St. Pete "is there a light table up here?"
