

He was predeceased by his niece Laura Jane White, his parents Eva and Herbert White, his brothers John, Bill, and Bob, his sister Doreen Wood, and his in-laws Lucille and Orville Hanna.
Ron is survived by his wife of 59 years, Lucille Dale; his goddaughter Christine White and her husband Allen; his grandchildren Ace and Jane; his sisters-in-law Rose White and Mary White; his nieces Margy Odendal and Evelyn Wood; and his nephews James Wood, Kevan White, Stephen White, Graham White, Richard White; Catherine Po, Teagan White, and Dominic White.
Professionally, Ron dedicated 38 years to Veterans Affairs Canada. He became involved in amateur football, first as a coach and later as the president of the B.C. Conference. He then served as Commissioner of the Canadian Junior Football League and was inducted into the BC Football Hall of Fame in 2015.
Music was a significant part of Ron's life. He sang with the North Shore Chorus (directed by Dennis Tupman), the Richmond Chorus, and various church choirs in Vancouver and Ladner. A highlight for him was singing with the Richmond Chorus at Carnegie Hall for the Premier of Music by Canadian composer Imant Raminsh.
Ron also had the distinct honor of escorting the late veteran George Ives to meet Prince Charles and Princess Diana at Vancouver City Hall during Expo 86.
In retirement, Ron and Dale enjoyed numerous cruises to various destinations around the world.
In lieu of flowers donations, may be made to the BC Cancer Society in Ron's memory.
A celebration of life for Ronald will be held Friday, May 23, 2025 at 11:00 AM at St. Davids United Church, 1525 Taylor Way, West Vancouver, BC V7S 1N5.
