April 24, 1920 – April 19, 2016
Terry, an elegant and artistic person in so many ways, was above all a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Beyond family, the quintessential Terry was “open door – open heart.” She and husband Alan, though they travelled the world, found a longtime home in Regina, Saskatchewan. Terry was an enthusiastic partner to Alan in all things, including building the family business, fundraising for the then new Christ the King Church and various political and football
endeavours. She remained a fully informed and avid Rider fan until her death. The Sangster home was often filled with music and a myriad of friends and neighbours, and so it was in her room at the Kiwanis Care Centre. Terry will fondly be remembered for her exceptional wit and sense of humour: defying convention, it appealed to all generations. Her exquisite aesthetic informed every part of her life, from plating a family meal to choosing the perfect
upholstery to accessorizing a cocktail dress. Predeceased by parents, Rene and Victoria
Gregoire, devoted husband Alan, infant son Joseph and brothers William and George, Terry is survived by daughter Jill and son John, who had the good fortune of growing old with her. She is also survived by her cherished grandson Alan and his mother Staci and Peter Feniak. Special family thanks
are extended to Jan Kinghorn, Teresa Podgorna, Janis Busse, Dr. Carolyn Gilbert, Monsignor Greg Smith and staff at Kiwanis Care Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations in Terry’s name can be make to Kiwanis Care Centre, 2444 Burr Place, North Vancouver,
BC, for the development of their palliative care program. Terry will be profoundly missed by family and friends. “She deserves Paradise who makes her companions laugh.” – Anon.
