

Barbara Ann LeBlanc Rambin, 85, affectionately known as "Bobbie", surrounded by her loving family, died on Wednesday, March 11, 2015, in the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Glenda and Carson Carson. She was born in Breaux Bridge, La, to the late Holdon and Louise Bourgeois LeBlanc. She graduated from St. Bernard Catholic School of Breaux Bridge and graduated from Spencer Business College of Lafayette.
In 1947 she met and fell in love with Glen Douglas Rambin, was married in 1950 and began rearing her family. She was a quintessential 1950's stay at home mom, and was extremely proud of her role as a homemaker. In 1968, she began a new career in business, and worked at the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury Food Stamp Issuing Office and retired in 1991.
Bobbie loved visiting with her family and friends, loved to travel, shop, and crochet. For many years she was an active member in the St. John Bosco Catholic Church Family, She was a former member of the altar society, church choir, catechism teacher, and Rosary Society.
She was a kind and loving wife, mother, a "story-book" grandmother, and a true friend. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Survivors include: two sons Glen Douglas Rambin, Jr. "Doug" and wife Debbie Rambin of Sugar Land, TX, Stephen Rambin and wife Evelyn of Prattville, AL; three daughters Glenda and husband Carson Carson of Carlyss, LA, Kathy and husband Ronald Borel of Westlake, La and Denise and husband Richard Hancock of Carmel, IN; 9 grandchildren and II great-grandchildren; two sisters Wilma Bordonaoro of Mansfield, TX, and Lou and husband Emory Bares of Baton Rouge, LA; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 50 years, Glen Rambin, her parents, two brothers PH & Aubrey LeBlanc; two sisters, Winona LeBlanc and Jeanette Boudreau; two nephews and one niece.
The family would like to give special thanks to her beloved caregivers, and the staff at Stonebridge Assisted Living in Sulphur, Southern Care Hospice, and to her dedicated doctors, Ryan Foret, Keith Lechtenberg, R. Craig Broussard and Richard Landry
A Mass of Christian burial for Barbara Ann LeBlanc Rambin will be held at St. John Bosco Catholic Church in Westlake LA, on Saturday, March 14, 2015, at 11a.m. Visitation will be held at Hixson Funeral Home in Westlake on Friday, March 13 from 4p.m. to 8p.m. with a rosary to be held at 6p.m.Visitation will resume on Saturday at 8a.m. until the time of the funeral.
