Betty was a Christian woman who was well loved by all who knew her.
Survivors include her daughters, Pam Coke of Westlake, Belinda Wagner and husband Glen Alan of Hixson, TN, and Bonita Hood and husband Doug of Coulterville, IL; brothers, Adam Cain of Sulphur and Ira Cain of Tioga; and sister, Dorothy Thompson of Lena; 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Felder C. Thompson; son, Travis Thompson; grandson, Doug Mattingly; her parents, Abe and Ada Cain; and two brothers, Lawrence and Henry Cain.
Her funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 28 in Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake. Interment will be in Niblett's Bluff Cemetery in Vinton. Visitation will be from 1 - 2 pm on Saturday. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com.
