Darlene Doty Foshee

Darlene Doty Foshee born January 8, 1945 went home with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday October 15, 2016 at 4:10 p.m. She was the youngest of 4 siblings born to James V. Doty and Mattie King Doty.

She was a faithful servant of Westlake Assembly of God Church from 1981 until her death. She served as the nursery minister of the church for over 20 years, after that she served in many other various ministries of the church. One of her favorite things to do was visit and minister to friends at the Westlake Popeyes.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Arvis Foshee of Westlake, LA, one daughter Sandra Burke and husband Rusty of Westlake, LA, one son Charles Dwain Foshee and wife Misty of Pontotoc, MS, 9 grandchildren, LaDonna Burke and Matthew Burke of Westlake, LA, Tyler Foshee, and Trey Foshee of New Albany, MS, Paige Foshee of Frisco, TX, Alyx Longnecker, and R. J. Longnecker of Hartsville, TN, Anna Gist and Breanne Gist of Pontotoc, MS, two great-grandsons, Wyatt Dalfery of Westlake, LA and Bentley Reece of Hartsville, TN, She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and, cousins.

Darlene was preceded in death by her mother and father, Sister Marie Doty Parker, Brothers James Doty, Jr., Billy Doty, Charles (Hobo) Parker.

Visitation will be at Westlake Assembly of God Church from Monday October 17, 2016 from 4p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday October 18, 2016 at the Westlake Assembly of God Church on John Stine Road, Westlake, Rev. Keith Meyer officiating, with burial in Magnolia Cemetery, Westlake, La. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Westlake Assembly of God Nursery Ministry.
