Jeanette Fox

Jeanette was a member of Saint John Bosco Church who taught many youngsters catechism along side her husband John.

Jeanette was a leader that never shirked a task. She had various occupations - but her focus was her family. She loved being outdoors- either fishing or watching wildlife on the bayou at her home. Her greatest love was cooking and caring for John and their 8 kids.

Get togethers with family brought her great joy. She had a kind heart with a strong will to always do for others. She will be missed but our hearts know she is with us.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Jude Fox, parents, Aubrey and Marguerite Hathorn, brothers, William "Bill" and Van Hathorn, and brother-in-law, Joseph Forno.

Those left behind to cherish her memories are her eight children, Cathleen Cloyd and husband, David of Westlake, Elizabeth Dilley and husband, Mike of Boise, Idaho, Jahnie Lynn Vasquez and husband, Rupert of Shreveport, La, Matthew Frank Fox and wife, Lorrie of Piscataway, NJ, Joshua Fox of Westlake, Jessica Moseley and husband, Ken of Moss Bluff, Joseph Fox of Westlake, and Jacqueline Fox of Westlake; sister, Dee Ellen Forno of St. Croix; thirteen grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Friday, December 28, 2018 at St. John Bosco Catholic Church. Rev. Mike Barras will officiate. Burial will follow in Consolota Cemetery in Lake Charles. Visitation will be held from 4:30 - 8 p.m. Thursday with a Rosary at 6 p.m. at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake and visitation will resume from 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
