Marcella Guidry Bartell

Marcella lived a life of service. She was an active member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church until she moved to Westlake and then she was an active member at St. John Bosco Catholic Church. Marcella loved gardening, sitting on her porch and watching the birds who visited her bird feeder.

Marcella was preceded in death by her husband, John Bartell, daughter, Tammy Lemaire, her parents, brother, Vance and her sister, Janell.

Those left to cherish her memory are her three grandsons, Brandon LeMaire and his wife, Lyndee, Jason Lemaire and his wife, Crystal, and Kade Lemaire and his wife, Briana; great-grandchildren, Marlee, Drake, Peyton, Kynlee, Chloe, Brock, Luke, Sawyer, Jude, Hayes, Denver, and Ezra; great-great-grandchildren, Ridge and Steele; three sisters, Brenda Ardoin, Elaine Bartell, and Paula Bernard; brother, Dwight Frickey; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Friday, October 17, 2025 at ArdoinFuneral Home in Oberlin followed by a Rosary beginning at 10:00 a.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Oberlin with Rev. Pradeep Gali officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklin Springs Cemetery in Oberlin under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake.
