

Michael later moved to Moss Bluff, where he graduated from Sam Houston High School in 1995. He was a talented athlete who especially enjoyed playing baseball. He was dedicated to working out and spending time at the gym.
A true dog lover Michael adored his precious bulldog, Abby. He was also an avid car enthusiast with a special passion for Corvettes, diesel trucks, and motorcycles.
Michael worked as a pipefitter for Turner Industries before spending many years working alongside his father at Westlake Auto Sales.
He is survived by his father, Arnold Basco and wife Lori; his mother, Loretta Lottinger and husband Harry; his brother, Josh Basco; and his stepsister, Matty Johnson and Garrett Brock. He is also survived by many loving family members and friends who will cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, William Odie Basco and Verla Bennett Basco, and his maternal grandparents, Leonard Clifford Burns and Ina Johnson Smith.
Michael will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He is now with God and finally at peace.
The family will welcome the public for visitation at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake Saturday, December 27, 2025 from 11am until time of funeral service at 1pm. Interment will follow at Westlake Memorial Park Cemetery.
