She was born in LeCompte, LA to parents Willie and Mildred Squyres on December 30, 1942. Louise was a resident mainly of Westlake, LA, other than the times that she and her husband Robert travelled due to his time in the Navy. She and Robert were married for a happy 54 years.
Louise was a dedicated member of Bellview Baptist Church and was involved in most committee events and services. She sang in the choir upward of 30 years. She loved the outdoors, camping in their travel trailer, more specifically in Canton, TX. Louise loved her cats most but loved any cat she met.
She is welcomed into Heaven by her parents; brother, Lawrence "Elliott" Squyres; and sister-in-law, Fran Squyres.
Those left to cherish Louise's memory are her husband, Robert G. Hammett; son, Robert Brian Hammett; brother, Jerry Squyres; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family would like to welcome friends to Bellview Baptist Church in Westlake, LA, for visitation beginning at 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Friday, May 12, 2023.
Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 am on Friday, May 12, 2023 with Oliver McGuire and Dr. Jerry Squyres presiding.
A graveside service will follow at Westlake Memorial Cemetery in Westlake, LA.
