Sybil Y. Havens

She was an avid Westlake High School Band Booster for many years. She loved sewing, gardening, cooking and working in her yard.

She is survived by her son, Bruce Havens and wife, Robbie of Merryville, LA and Scott Havens and wife, Sandy of Houston, TX; daughters, Yvonne "Bonnie" Williams and husband, Rufus of Brookeland, TX and Linda Folds and husband, Dale of Longville, LA; brother, Percy Gumm and wife, Kathleen of Toledo Bend TX; grandchildren, Jaime Bell of Merryville, Matt Havens of Moss Bluff, Josh Havens of Spring, TX and Jennifer Havens of College Station, TX; great grandchildren, Brett and Kirsten Bell of Merryville, Jackson and Tatum Havens of Moss Bluff.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Brewster Havens, her mother Ella Mae Aikens, and her sister, Evelyn O’Quinn.

Her funeral will be 2pm, Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake. The Rev. Finers Cryer will officiate. Visitation will begin Friday 5pm-9pm at the funeral home and resume 8am until service time. Burial will be in Westlake Memorial Park.
