He especially enjoyed fishing, hunting and cycling. Blair graduated from Westlake High School in 1983 and remained friends with many of his school buddies. He has been employed over the years as a boilermaker and pipefitter, most recently at Performance Contractors.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Rompie and EmyLee Meyers and Ben and Bessie Hawkins; and his beloved nephew, John Stephen Baker.
His surviving family includes his parents, Thomas “Shooky” and Lonnie Meyers of Sulphur, daughter Taylor Lee Meyers and her mother Dorie Chapman of Moss Bluff, sister and brother-in-law Yolanda and Steve Baker of Sulphur, niece Elizabeth Baker of Houston and his companion Ginny Smith. He had an extended family of several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Blair will be remembered for his kind, sweet spirit and his willingness to always help others who were in need.
Visitation will be at Hixson Funeral Home Chapel of Westlake from 6:30 until 10 pm on Saturday, April 28, 2018 and will resume at 11 am on Sunday until time of service at 2 pm. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery in Westlake. Pallbearers will be Steven Luttrell, Ross Tuttle, Bryan Leger, Greg Sheufens, Gavin Abshire and Donald Lack.
