Wanda "Sue" Snyder, 75, of Westlake, passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at her residence. She was born to her late parents, Thomas and Violet Culpepper on December 7, 1943 in Lake Charles. She graduated from Westlake High School in 1961, and then attended McNeese State University for 3 years. Sue retired from First Baptist Church of Westlake as a Financial Secretary after 20 years of service. She had a love and passion for family, sewing, quilting, of which she made many quilts and baby blankets. Her other great pride and joy, was her love of family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Frank Snyder, Jr.; two sons, Jeff Snyder and wife Jenny, Kevin Snyder and wife Allison both of Cypress, TX; two daughters, Jennifer Snyder Bhansali and husband Anil of Madison, MS, Cindy Snyder Guion and husband Ken of Katy, TX; three brothers, Johnny Culpepper and Paul Culpepper of Westlake, David Culpepper and wife Helen of Lake Charles; two sisters, Mary Barker of Lake Charles, Janet Landry and husband Jerry of Lafayette; sister in law, Pam Culpepper of Carlyss; along with 13 grandchildren.
Sue is preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Bill Culpepper; and brother in law, Jim Barker.
Services will be at First Baptist Church of Westlake on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 11:00am with Pastors David Brewer and Jaceson Johnson officiating. Visitation will be at First Baptist Church of Westlake on Friday, December 14, 2018 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. Visitation will resume at the church on Saturday, from 9:00am until the time of the service.
