Wilda is my cousin and we were always close, more like a sister than a cousin. She was always a positive person and full of life. I miss her everyday and love her more than anything. She cared for everyone and was the first to visit the sick and pray for them on a daily basis. I know that she is in heaven and watches over me.

I met Wilda after the hail storm and hurricanes last year while we were doing a roof on her house , I was working with VT Contracting . What a great lady she was , I admired her boldness and frankness . She and I had good talks sitting on the back porch . She loved her lord and her kids and grandkids ! What a legacy she left her family !

Any time I ran into Wilda around town, I walked away knowing that I had received a blessing. She had a gift, and shared it with everyone she met.

I’d met Wilda through LuLu and Charlene Duhon many years ago and we’ve been friends ever since.
Anymore, we would run into each other at the store and always visited.
I was very sad to read of her passing this evening and will certainly miss her.
Condolences to the family.

To Ms. Wilda's family,
Ms. Wilda, our neighbor, will be missed. I loved seeing her working in her yard. She did have a green thumb, and her yard is so pretty. We are so sorry for your loss, and trust that God will comfort you during your time of grief and sorrow.

Wilda, Glenda and I were inseparable in high school. I was new to Westlake in my senior year and Wilda befriended me and what a friendship it was! We didn’t go anywhere without the other and that included trips to visit her family in Oberlin and mine in Jonesboro. As the years went by we grew apart but we never lost our love for each other and we never lost contact. No matter how long our last visit, we picked up just like it was yesterday- she was that kind if person. She would always catch me up on her children and grand children. They were her love and her life. There is a hole in my heart and I will miss you forever my friend.
