Elvira Bucsa, of Solon, Ohio, passed away on October 17, 2025, at the age of 93. She was born on July 18, 1932, in Feldioara, Romania, the daughter of the late Traian Savu and Eugenia Savu (nee Stanislav.
Elvira was the beloved wife of the late Nistor Bucsa; loving mother of Adrian M. Bucsa (Iuliana) and the late Livia C. Bucsa who predeceased her on October 15, 2025; cherished grandmother of Deanna McKinney (Eric) and Andraya Moon (Jarrod) and great-grandmother of Owen, Emersyn and Hazel McKinney and Willow Moon.; dear sister of Nelu Savu, Lucian Elisei (Daniela); adored aunt of Simona Savu Austin (Thomas) and Raluca Elisei.
In Romania, she worked as an accountant for a chemical company before dedicating herself to raising her two children. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who deeply loved her family. A talented crocheter and knitter, she made countless blankets for her grandchildren, each crafted with love. Her energetic and bright spirit brought joy to everyone around her. A devout Christian, her faith was a guiding force throughout her life. She dedicated her life to her family and to caring for others with kindness and devotion. Blessed with a green thumb, she found joy in gardening, nurturing flowers and plants that brought beauty and warmth to her home.
A joint visitation honoring her and her daughter will be held on Monday, October 27, 2025 from 4PM-7PM with a Saracusta service at 5PM at Corrigan Craciun Funeral Home, 23040 Center Ridge Rd., Westlake, Ohio. Their funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 10AM at St. Mary;s Romanian Orthodox Cathedral, 3256 Warren Rd., Cleveland, Ohio. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in North Olmsted, Ohio.
