Gerald E Fallon

Died September 29, 2016, after a lengthy illness. He was born July 30, 1944 in Cleveland to Jean (nee Yuncker) and Edward Fallon, both deceased. He grew up in Bay Village and most recently lived in Lakewood. He was a graduate of St. Edward High School, Notre Dame University (BS) and Case Western Reserve University (MBA). After graduation with a degree in aeronautical engineering, he worked for a number of years for NASA in Wichita, KS, and Cleveland, OH. Jerry had a successful business career purchasing, starting and running numerous manufacturing operations, and was an early adopter of computer technology. He enjoyed sailing and hosting many friends and family on his boats, docked on the Rocky River on another one of his enterprises, The Bridge Docks. He liked to travel, ski, play golf, and earned his pilot license. He is survived by sisters Jean Wynne (Marty), of Avon, OH, Peg Hargis (Jim Macnamara), of Avon Lake, OH, Virginia Haessly (Rory) of Bay Village, OH, Martha Hanson (Bill) of Cleveland Heights, OH, and brothers Neil (Dianna) of Windham, NH, and Tim (Lisa Zitiello) of Avon Lake, OH. His extended family included nieces Rachael Hinson, Karen Wynne, Heather Gill, Amy Wynne, Meghann Fallon, Kelly Hanson, Autumn Fallon, and nephews Brian Wynne, Mark Habel, Matt Holzheimer, Ryan Hanson, and Brett Hanson, as well as many cousins and good friends. The family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 PM at Catavolos Berry Funeral Home, 23040 Center Ridge Rd. in Westlake on Tuesday, October 4, 2016. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Jerry's name to the Friends of Moeckel Pond, 26 Rock Pond Rd., Windham NH 03087 or to the charity of their choice.
