I knew Luke for only a short time because I was his teacher at ND.  Luke was an awesome individual with a kind heart and a beautiful personality.  I truly enjoyed getting to know him.  I am very sorry to have just heard about your loss and I Luke will always be in my thoughts and prayers.

     I want to start off by saying Luke was truly a good person. Though I cannot imagine the pain your family is feeling still, just know it has been almost 2 months now and there hasn't been one day that I haven't thought about Luke. Some days more than others, but I will carry the memories I had with him in my heart for the rest of my life. I have grown up with Luke and shared the experience of St. Mark with him from kindergarten to sixth grade. I look back and cherish every memory of sitting next to him in a class, helping him with schoolwork, the awkward family life/health class in fifth grade, and just having really good conversations while doing art projects in class. There were a lot of good times with him and I'm sure that a lot of people will say the same thing, because Luke had something unique about him. Luke was one of those kids where if my friends and I were walking down the street and we coincidentally saw him, we would immediately yell his name, run, and give him a hug. He had so many good traits to him; he was always caring. always. Nice to everyone, yet hilarious and made everyone feel comfortable around him. He was very down to earth and could relate to almost any situation you wanted to talk about with him, and he always knew how to cheer others up even if he wasn't happy himself. Honestly, I always found that amazing and that was one of my favorite things about him. He was such a good looking kid, the bluest eyes ever and the most lovable personality that gave him a good look. He always seemed so full of life and he was always cracking jokes and never hurt anyone no matter what. Me, Luke, David, Tommy, Meghan, Kelly, and Alison would always hangout after school and on the weekends in middle school. We all became really close friends. I have too many memories to count just hanging out with Luke on the swings at Impett Park, behind my house, or hanging out over on Stillwood. Every year he would come to my pool party on the last day of school and he was always the life of the party. We'd just sit there on my deck and listen to all the good stories he had and we probably could have kept talking and laughing with him the whole night! He was such an amazing guy and impacted so many of my friend's lives and mine as well. There is so much more I have to say and so many memories I'd like to share. So if your family ever wants to contact me and a couple of Luke's close friends, Let me know! I pray for your family everyday at school and keep you in all of my special intentions and prayers.

I have been down the same path as you. All I can say is that life will become easyer and the pain wont hurt as much. Luke was one of my bestfriends and always stuck up for me. I could tell so many stories that me and him went through. But one was in 8th grade football. Luke was my fullback and was to block for me, but for some reason he would always go for the biggest guy even if he was on the other side of the field. He left the rest up to me, but we pulled through it. Me and him also survived St. Bs together and would laugh at the memories of what we did. I wish me and him could of hung out a lot more. Andrew and Audrey grew up with Luke at Karen's.  A cohort of about 6-8 grew up as 'cousins' -- day in and day out -- playing together --- in a big family atmosphere under the skilled and loving supervision of Karen.  Luke looked up to Andrew --- one of the older boys.  When Andrew was in 8th grade and started going less and less to 'Karen's', Luke missed him.  He would come to our house -- I would answer the door to see his bright face and then, his question ... 'is Andrew home?'.  I'd let him in - he'd bolt upstairs to see Andrew.  

We all LOVED Luke ... and our only regret is that we didn't say it enough.  We love you Luke.

My name is Justin Sullivan, im a senior at covington catholic. you might of heard of me from luke, it was probably negative information about me at first because as you may no, Luke and I had a little skuffle in ART class. But in the end we worked our differences out (thanks to Mr. Haders) and  actually it turned out we were alike in many ways, for instance i came from Boone County Highschool, i went there my first two years and loved it. i mean it wasnt the best school, i did in fact get into some trouble while i was there and had to transfer to cov cath. i hated it at first but after awhile i started liking it. It is a brotherly school the kids here are awesome, no drama at all, everybody likes everyone here,and we're very welcoming. Which comes to my attention, Luke became a Colonel, quicker than I had become one. He always participated and tried to meet new people here at cov cath, he was starting to fit in really quickly. Aside from that,his art work was actually really unique.....he added things that were involved in his life in his art projects. We talked breifly every day about hanging out after school or on the weekend but we never got that chance. I just would like to conclude that I'm sorry for your loss of your outstanding son. We all here at Cov Cath will always keep him in our thoughts and prayers.

Our children, Andrew and Audrey, 'grew up' with Luke at Karen's house.  From my observation as a parent, being at 'Karen's' was magical.  Luke was a part of a wonderful cohort of neighborhood friends who enjoyed day-in and day-out fun at Karen's -- games, lunches, swimming, etc.  They all got to experience what it would be like to be in a huge family -- with lots of complexity but with lots of solid routines orchestrated under the calm and watchful eye of Karen. This group of children were like cousins -- Louis, Elise, Michelle, Sean, Andrew, Audrey, Louie, Luke and Madeline.... also, Devon and Shannon.  Karen created magic at her house.  

After Andrew was in about 8th grade, he went less and less to Karen's after school.  Luke missed him.  I remember him being allowed to come over to see if 'Andrew was home'.  Often, I answered the door to see his face -- with great anticipation of seeing his friend, Andrew.  I'd let him in and he'd go running up to Andrew's room.  Luke cherished his friends at Karen's.  He had a very big and loving spirit -- may it live on in his friends....

McGraw Family, I've left a message already but I hesitated in leaving the rest of what I wanted to say because this is all about you right now.  I just lost my daughter (27) this past Aug. 29th.  I KNOW what you are going through right now.  It's a walking nightmare.  You're probably numb and clinging to all the wonderful words that people have to say about Luke.  They are so helpful at this time.  When time settles, the messages will stop.  People will be uncomfortable about talking about Luke with you because they don't want to upset you. I am very sorry that I did not have the pleasure of knowing Luke personally.  All of the notes tell what a great kid he was. He was in 2 classes with my son @ CovCath. When I asked Timmy about Luke his immediate response was "He's a really funny kid". Know that you are in the prayers of the CovCath family.

A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest.God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.
