Margaret Anne Toomey

She was the beloved wife of 50 years to Michael J. [deceased]. She is survived by her children, Maureen Mizerak [Paul], Meegan Milluzzi [Alex], Sarah Springer [Michael], Matthew Toomey [Michele], Daniel Toomey [Lisa], Brigid Wozniak [Doug], 15 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; and brother C. Edward Gaffney [Anita].

Peg graduated from SUNY Cortland in 1956 and married Michael that same year. Peg was a steady substitute teacher at Columbia High School in Columbia Station where the family resided for 31 years. Peg and Mike were very involved in the community; founding members of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church and founded the Columbia Food Pantry, now known as the Columbia Food Center. After retiring, Mike and Peg moved to Florida where they lived for 16 years. Peg moved back to Ohio after her stroke in 2012.

A Memorial Service will be held at Craciun Funeral Home, 23040 Center Ridge Rd., Westlake, OH on Saturday, October 14, 2023. Friends and family can pay their respects from 10am-12pm, followed by a Catholic Service at 12:00pm. A private burial will follow the reception for family.
