She was born in Romania, the daughter of the late Ioan and Paraschiva (nee Marcu) Sasu. Maria Violeta is the beloved wife of 45 years to Constantin; loving mother of Georgiana Sofletea; dear sister of Ioan (Eugenia) Sasu; dear aunt and friend of many.
She was a dedicated hairstylist for over 35 years, and in 2000, she fulfilled her dream of opening her own salon, Carlyle House of Beauty in Lakewood.
The family will receive friends on Friday, September 12, 2025 from 4PM-8PM with a Saracusta service at 7PM at Corrigan Craciun Funeral Home, 23040 Center Ridge Rd., Westlake. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 10AM at Buna Vestire Romanian Orthodox Cathedral, 7140 Fitch Rd., Olmsted Township. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Avon.
