He was born in Cleveland, the son of the late William and Harriett Regan. He was the beloved husband of the late Clara Jean (nee Mosetes); loving father of Billy (Mary Ann) Regan and Kathy (Mike) Barrick; cherished grandfather of Chris Popil and Jessica Barrick and great-grandfather of Taylor and London Popil; dear brother of the late Samuel (Jay) Regan and Andrew (Mary) Regan; adored uncle of many.
He was a proud U.S. Army veteran who later retired as a postal clerk at the airport. An avid sports fan, he loved watching the Indians win and never enjoyed seeing the Browns lose, always holding out hope for the next World Series victory. Known for his positive and cheerful nature, he was rarely seen without a smile. A true social butterfly, he served as the unofficial greeter at the Bridlewood Apartments, making everyone feel welcome. He had a fondness for what he called “intellectual debris” and miscellaneous quotes. His philosophy was "If you can't do great things, do small things with great love" In his quiet moments, he enjoyed crossword puzzles and reading a good book.
